NYC! Unforgettable!

This weekend was one of the best of my life. One of my dreams was fulfilled, because I always wait for this moment, see NYC! and now I’m just waiting for the next time.

We went to Times Square, Central Park, MoMa, Rockefeller Centre,a Mery Poppins Musical, 5th Avenue and a lot of places, but when we went to the Groun Zero, I almost cried, because I imagined all the pain and the fear of this day, all the people that were killed and the guide who were with us said some very emotional words that were incredibles.

But anyway, this was a very funny trip cause in Times Square we went to a M&M’s shop that was so cute, we went to a musical on Brodway that was good… and a lot of places more, but I don’t have time to tell you all and I don’t have words to explain you what I felt!

My advice now is: GO TO NEW YORK AS SOON AS YOU CAN! jaja!

My best wishes…!

Sports at TV!

Here they watch a lot of sport on television, and now more than other times because the Red Sox, which is the Beisbol Boston Team, won the American League against Cleaveland, and now they are playing to get the World serious against Colorado, who won the National League.

I’ve never seen any beisbol game before till now, and I love it. My host family was explaining me the rules and all the things I should now to watch a game. They explaining me also the shoots of a player I like a lot, who is Tim Wakefield. He is pitcher and he makes a knuckle ball, the ball go straight to the batter an then it goes up, down, at the left or at the right! This is crazy! And this is why I love this guy!

The other day we made a Halloween party in a club called Portuguese Club. We spent there the afternoon dancing, eating and emptying pumpkins! It was so funny and we laught a lot.

When we were emptying and decorate the pumpkins, we had a good time because we play with the interior of the pumpkins in spite of were so disgusting! jaja But it didn’t matter cause we just wanted to have fun!

Our host mum made some candey apples, but she didn’t have time and she couldn’t carry them to the party, what’s a pitty! Now we have all the candy apples at home and they taste so good!

Halloween!

Hello! In my opinion, Halloween here is a very big party that all people celebrate, like Carnavales at Spain, but they spend more time preparing the adornments like we usually do at Christmas time.

It’s tradition here decorate pumpkins, emptying and carving faces in them. We did some of that on a party the other night.

Close to our house, we saw all days another house we pass throw it and it’s awesome decorate with lights, ghosts, pumpkins and a lot of stuff of Halloween.

Boston Celtics VS. New York Knicks

Oh my God! This game was the best game I’ve ever seeing in my life, the Stadium was awesome, it had a lot of shops, fast food restaurants and places where you could buy a lot of Celtics’ stuff, it was like a very big mall! . All the things that you could buy were too expensive, for example, I bought a hot dog, a coke and fries that cost 14.50$ ! but I was too hungry so…

The game was interesting, the Celtics won 101-61, it was amazing and in the middle of the periods, some cheerlieders danced and the Boston Celtics’ pet called “Lucky” did a lot of flips and acrobatics. They threw some T-shirts to the people but we were so high and we couldn’t catch any of them.

In the middle of the court there was a very big screen where you could see the match and in the breaks, some o the people who were at the stadium appeared on these screen, and you know what? we appeared..! It was so funny!

Feel the sport!

I can’t believe how this guys love the sports and they feel the colors of their teams. There is an awesome gap between the teams here and in Spain because they give to the players shirts, tracksuits and a lot of stuff whit their names, the students have respect to the players and they go to see their games to support them.

I went to a football game the other night. They lost but it was funny, in the team are around 40 players. The unique problem was the cold! because here it too cold! and we’ve to wear coats. Here Valladolid it’s so hot! jaja

Tomorrow we’re going to see a Boston Celtics’s game with all the students and our hosts and I’m sure that we’re going to enjoy it a lot!
